About the 4SCO
The Four Seasons Chamber Orchestra is Western North Carolina’s orchestra for all seasons, presenting one concert each spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Our mission is not only to present inspiring music in intimate settings, but also to raise funds and awareness at every 4SCO concert in support of causes and organizations in need in our community.
The 4SCO grew out of the Hendersonville Community Orchestra, which was founded in 2009 by conductor Robert Hudson, and the Jubilee Summer Orchestra, founded by Earl Hefley in Asheville in the early 1990’s.
The 4SCO name reflects the natural beauty of our mountain home, and the breadth of age and experience found among our professional, amateur, and student musicians. In addition, we aspire to create diverse, inclusive, and exciting concert programming that features historic masterpieces from the symphonic tradition, new art and popular music, works from women and composers of color, and beyond.
